This is the snowy owl. The snowy owl is the provincial bird of Quebec. The white owl symbolizes the snowy winters of this region. It also symbolizes the large amount of land and the cold climate. 

The yellow birch is the provincial tree on Quebec. Quebecers love their vast forests, so they chose the yellow birch.

Quebec's national flower is the blue flag. It represents the waterways and the St. Lawrence Seaway. These waterways are important because they bring business to the area.
This is the coat of arms for Quebec. The fleurs de lis represent the French history and culture. The lion represents the British background. The maple leaves represent the pre-Confederation period.
The Quebec flag was established in 1948. The white cross in the middle represents the Christian origins of the province and the fleurs de lis represents the French culture.
The provincial saying of Quebec is "Je me souviens" which means "I remember". The people of Quebec remember their past. This saying means they have a duty to remember their past.
